We do not have full access to the Azure SQL Databases hosted by Microsoft on behalf of the customer.

Given that we can authorize LCS to work against customers Azure Subscription, it would be great if we could request LCS to run a duplication of the Azure Databases. The process could put copy on one of the customers own authorized subscriptions. 

We could use the copy for various tasks:

• Creating sandbox (dev, test, training, etc)


• Analyzing data for corruption without limitations


• The above tasks with higher throughput performance (as the way we do it today is not the most efficient way using AzCopy + bacpac).

Knowing Operations will become even more SaaS in the future, it would be great to be able to create a quick unattended database extract like this, without having to go through manual steps with Microsoft support.
