The ability to turn on email engagement is nice. However, it only allows you to turn it on and automatically follow when sending a direct email. It would be very beneficial to allow this option when sending emails in bulk or via a marketing list.

Yes, agreed! steps: From an advanced find view results, select records (opps, contacts, etc.) and click "send direct email" tool in ribbon. Doesn't default to "follow" the emails and doesn't seem to be a way to turn it on. Using power automate not option either - you can build one to turn on "follow" at the database level but it doesn't actually do anything since the email is already sent.
