I was asked by my users to provide a solution so search for emails in the activities of an offer or an opportunity. We need activities(emails) sorted on the receive date and not record date as it is now.

I would want the notes control to be customizable on
- sorting
- what to display for each record
- search feature is missing completely

I found no way of customizing the control or am I missing something?
