In Excel there are 3 known ways of calculating NPV (PV, NPV, XNPV). The net present value calculation is the basis for the amounts posted in the asset leasing module.

The issue occurs when migrating leases from legacy systems that uses a different method for calculating NPV. With a large number of lease agreements, the difference in the calculation methods could cause a huge difference in the balance amounts posted in the modul. Today, there are no way to change the amounts posted by the module.

It would be helpful if we could choose on the agreement what method to use, when calculating NPV. Not all companies are comfortable having a huge change in the balance due to change in IT System.
