We are facing the current issue when creating Purchase requisition lines and approval is required by Owner of Financial dimension. However, the system takes the Cost center owner of the Accounting distribution, not the Cost center owner of the Financial dimension.

This already has been discussed with Microsoft in a Microsoft case and resulted in the issue 843293. For now, Microsoft does not see this as a bug but rather as a feature that was designed to work in a specific way.

The following error is displayed if the Cost center of the Financial dimension has an Owner, but the Cost center of the Accounting distribution does not: "Owner is not set for financial dimension values or financial dimensions are not in the account structure selected in organization distribution for the participant token".

From a business perspective, this behavior is not correct as it must be the Owner of the Cost center on the Purchase requisition line to approve the respective Purchase requisition instead of the Owner of the Cost center of the Accounting distribution.

We would expect the system to take the Owner of the Cost center of the Financial dimension if it is filled out instead of the Cost Center found in the Accounting distribution because sometimes Accounting doesn't do the posting to an account and Cost Center but deliberately excludes the Cost Center from the Accounting distributions to use other Values like a CAPEX Dimension.
