Add a general option to all pages for adding notes or even attaching documents. I often find that I need to specify/document how we handle a specific proces and saves the information in our own little manual in a word document, but it would be very much better if we could attach this documentation to various pages in the system.

 

For example, I need to make a documentation of how and why we

made various setup in "Purchases

& Payables Setup", so it would be very convenient if I could

add this documentation directly to the Purchases & Payables Setup page – or

the General Ledger Setup page – or any other setup up page.

 

But it could also be very nice to be able to add notes and documents many other places. For example, we have a problem with the Chart of accounts. We use a Totaling for a few accounts with this syntax 20001..20999|00001..09999. This works fine, but whenever we use the function “Indent Chart of Accounts” there is some kind of error that destroys this Totaling.

So, it would be very nice if we could add a note to the Chart of accounts list saying “When you add new accounts, please remember to repair Totaling after Indenting the Chart of Account”.

 

In summary: It would be very nice if we could add notes and attach files to pages and lists similar to the way we can add notes and files to objects like items, vendors, customers, accounts…
