We are looking for an option to consolidate works from two/ multiple sales orders for the same item into single work so that it can follow the location directives set.
As per our set up if an item order meets packets quantity set for the item, system should pick the material from a location where item is stored in terms of packet. This is working now when we have single order with quantities meeting the criteria, but when we have multiple orders from same customer for same item there is no option to consolidate the work.
This results in picking work generated from wrong location even though combine count of the order meets the criteria set for packets.
The option of Pick line grouping cannot be used in our criteria as this is done at the last stage and will select items from wrong location.
Comments
Yes indeed, if i.e. we have a product where 12ea=1pck and 2 order lines for the same customer, delivery date etcOrder line1: 8eaOrder line2: 4eathen location directives will pick the product from NORMAL zone because each line will be examined and the qty is below 12.Instead, if we consolidate the 2 lines and result in feeding location directives with qty 12ea then the outcome will be to pick the product from the PACKAGES zone (pick 1pck from location xxx of zone PACKAGES).It is highly desirable feature!

The feature is very critical for cases with huge number of orders for the same customers per day. Pharmaceuticals, consumer goods etc.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.
Sincerely,
