Currently, the import/export GL budget functionality strips the dimension codes when exporting to excel (making it impossible to import by dimension). Can dimensions be included in the export to allow for external updates/importing back into BC?

This is a bug, try to import it in English and it will work. Any other language will fail and you'll have this error: You cannot import the same information twice. The combination G/L Account No. - Dimensions - Date must be unique."

I have the same issue on v16.2 Canadian - French language. But works fine in english

Not too sure if anyone has tested the G/L Budget Import/Export Excel function in v14. I may have come across a couple of bugs with this functionality in v14 ( Platform 14.0.29530.32211 + Application 32094 (AU Dynamics NAV 14.0) ), worked fine in v13. Here are the issues experienced: 1)When importing budget with dimensions, the dimension value does not seem to be imported in. Only the amounts are imported successfully. ; 2) When importing budget with a unique combination, BC throws error "You cannot import the same information twice. The combination G/L Account No. - Dimensions - Date must be unique." ; 3) Even using configuration package to import the budget, it will only support Global Dim 1 and Dim 2; but not if the globals are populated in the "Dim as column" area of the Excel spreadsheet.

By using 'Export Budget to Excel' Function under Process, I beleive it does Export (and Import) with Dimensions, if selected.
