Problem: Derived dimensions don't work in budget plan lines. It works in budget register entry or when I copy a plan from a Budget register entry. Business scenario: we want to start using Budget planning. This is a multi-national company with divisions spread across different companies and departments. There're groups of the departments that certain various budget managers are responsible for. We've got around 10 budget managers that have from 5 to 20 departments each that they are responsible for. The budget is created by the headquarter and then submitted for department review. Each budget manager should receive a budget plan for their responsible departments. We've created a dimension Division that uses values from organisation unit "Value streams". We've created values for the Value streams and assigned managers to approve respective budgets. Now we've created derived dimension values for Division dimension that should take the respective value from Department. The problem is that the value of Division is not derived automatically when a Department value is selected in the budget plan line. It works in budget register entry or other places in the system.
