If some time goes by between receiving items at the inbound dock und put them to the right Location in the warehouse, it can happen in the meantime, that for a Sales order the Reservation has taken place and a shipment is created. But if the Inbound dock is excluded in the Location directives for the Picking work, no work is created or work is created without Picking Location (depends on the Setup of the Location directive failures).

The reason for that is by design: Because the inventory work transactions are separate to the inventory Transactions. This is why the Reservation is possible for a Sales order, whether the item is reserved for a put away work.

Affected are all types of item arrival: Purchase orders, Transfer orders, return orders, and I guess production orders.

If the customer don't want use Quality Management and the usage of the inventory status is the only possibility, we need a simple type of receiving the items with an separate inventory status. And after put the items to the location and the put away work is closed a function is needed that change it to another inventory status that the sales orders can use.

Please vote for this behaviour if you think that this design should be changed.
