It should be possible to do the cleanup of old Sales orders, which are:

• Intercompany orders
• Sales order having a related Work order *)
• Sales order having a Work inventory transaction *)

Doing the cleanup routine according to MS's operating procedures, the above Sales orders will not be deleted but appear with an error.

As is (in 10.0.35) above Sales orders cannot be cleaned up, either deleted fully or as voided Sales orders (parameter setting in Accounts receivable parameters > Setup > General > Sales setup > Mark order as voided = Yes).

*) If the Work item is changed to status "Cancelled" it is possible to delete the Sales order. But not if it is in status: Open/Deleted/Completed.
