Is it possible to change the default 'TIME' when a new action is submitted? Currently new actions default to 'local time zone' 00:00:00 however, as the time zone serve no purpose and only cause negative issues in the system I would like to compensate for this by change the default start time to 12:00:00 therefore giving ourselves an 11 hour buffer before the date changes in the view of a global organization.

If an employee starts his employment on 01/01/2021 at 00:00:00 in the UK, if viewed from the US this shows as 12/31/2020 18:00:00 - however this is not the case! This person started on the 1st in the UK, the time zone should not change the start date! I know why it does, but as this is an HR System, not a Finance system, this is counter productive.

Personally I would like time zones to be removed but as they may serve a purpose in the future, the ability to edit the default start time would be very useful.

Thank you for your suggestion. After careful consideration, we’ve decided not to proceed with this functionality at this time.  This is because the maximum hours across time zones is 26 hours. Therefore, even if setting the start time to 12:00:00 the date could still be displayed differently across time zones.  There is another idea that is similar to what you are looking for I think:  Replace all datetime registration (Employment, positions, ...) with "date only registration".  This posting is provided “as is” with no warranties, and confers no rights.
