We have a requirement to specify net weight against released product variants as it can vary significantly. This net weight should also be included in the net weight calculation of a BOM if this variant is included within.

A new choice 'Use net weight by variant', similar to 'Use cost price by variant' can be added to the released product master to allow flexibility where weight doesn't change per variant.

Currently there's no field to capture this information which may lead to customization to get the functionality.

Can net weight field be added to released product variant form?
