When setting the identification numbers for one employee the system allows for two identification number of the same type to be set as primary. Not considering any specifications on the identification number.

In my eyes it would be nice to have at least a check on the identification type (one primary identification number per type only). Even better would it be to have the check in combination with the validity range (one primary identification number for the same identification type with no overlapping validity).

My non-profit HR department is also struggling with this same issue. For example, if someone has two different IDs of the same type (Passport for example) there should only be one that should be able to be marked as primary.
