When logged in as a GDAP user (with SUPER permissions) on a SaaS environment, the actions New, Edit, Delete are disabled on the Retention Policies page. This limitation makes it impossible to test or develop new functionality related to Retention Policies using a GDAP user account.

Additionally, despite having SUPER permissions, I’m unable to run table 3903.

It would be very helpful if GDAP users could:

  • Create, edit, and delete Retention Policy setups (even if they still cannot run Job Queue Entries linked to active policies).
  • Have the same level of access to Retention Policies as a standard SUPER user for development and testing purposes.

If this is an intentional limitation of GDAP accounts and Microsoft does not plan to change it, please update the official documentation to reflect this behavior, so partners are aware and can plan accordingly: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/delegated-admin
