I have a previous support request made for this under '2312200030000072'. Whole idea is based around the 'run automatic role assignment' functionality in D365 -> 'Assign user to role' page.


Purpose of this idea is to see if Microsoft can implement functionality to import fields from Entra like job title/department/company so a role assignment can be assigned automatically based on a User's Entra/Azure job title. I understand you can store job titles in D365 but this would require job titles being updated manually in both systems and would be nice for it to be fully integrated.


Automating role assignments like this is very important for privileged access management and reducing the manual requirement from a Service Desk to ensure a user has the correct security role assigned in D365.

This would be great since the previous version of this idea has been depricated. Its really time consuming having to go from our JIT based, minimal access to managing access in D365 manually.
