Please add a new OnPrem Only Local Server Filesystem Connector app for the new External File Storage Module.

Why should Microsoft deliver this OnPrem app?

With the Universal Code Initiative, one of the biggest problems for us and the various other partners was to convert local file access.

We have converted most of our customers to Azure Blob Storage, but not everyone can do this. Some simply have very poor internet connections and others have very strict compliance rules.

For these customers, almost every partner has implemented their own local file web service, the best known of which should be the Document Capture connector.

The code is then cloud ready, but uses a proprietary service that cannot simply be used in the cloud.

Let's now imagine that the partner would implement this via the External Storage Module. The customer would only have to copy their data to a supported storage (Azure Blob Storage, Azure File Share or Sharepoint), perform the normal online migration, enter the new Conenctor for the scenario and that's it!
