Chart of Accounts "Set Dimension Filter" errors if large volume of dimension combination exist. Rather than using the dimension set Id values in the filter can something else be used to allow the filter to work?

In my experience, the issue is that the field that displays the filter is only 250 characters long. You can go into the list and tick as many dimensions as you want. If the resulting string cuts off at a "|" or in the middle of a dimension, it errors because of an invalid value. If it happens to cut off in the right place, the filter works, even if a value is not showing in the filter.This really seems like a bug in design.
