An email can be changed into a Case , opportunity etc... But our clients recieve many emails that are Activities to be linked to an existing case for example
There is no simple way to convert the mail into a task so to
do this so we regulary need
- to create a Mail field into the Activities
- track the mail
- create the activity. This is heavy
All our clients ask us to be able to convert mails into tasks

In Outlook 2010, I made Quick Steps for myself (one for Appointments and another for Tasks): http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/automate-common-or-repetitive-tasks-with-quick-steps-HA010370689.aspx Admittedly, getting all end-users to create Quick Steps in Outlook would be a challenge.
