In D365 Finance and Operations Commerce, on the receipt designer there is no current possibility to add currency conversion which is required by Adyen for the usage of DCC: the exchange rate, the markup and the source of this information.

When partners use Adyen as a payment method and want to use a different currency, Adyen's Dynamic Currency Conversion for such types of payments require to have the currency conversion information displayed on the receipt.

In order to have improved future integration between Adyen and Commerce, we request further looking into and future improvement of the Receipt designer, so it supports DCC as an out of the box product.

Receipts in Dynamics 365 Commerce do support the display of DCC info. Here are instructions for doing that:

To set up Dynamics 365 Commerce receipts to display Digital Currency Conversion (DCC) info from the terminal:

  1. Add the EFT Message placeholder to the footer of the receipt format for the “Customer’s credit card receipt” receipt type (Receipt ID 3 in Commerce demo data.) See the Set up and design receipt formats help topic for guidance on editing receipt formats.
  2. Set the print behavior for that receipt format to Always print or Prompt user
  3. Run job 1090.

When customers select a DCC currency on the payment terminal, DCC information will be printed on the credit card receipt produced through Dynamics 365 Commerce, as well as the Cardholders copy receipt that Adyen prints on terminals with on-board printers (e.g. V400cPlus.)
