Our client operates a warehouse where locations can contain multiple license plates, and each license plate can contain multiple items.

During the picking process, operators scan the license plate and confirm the product to ensure picking accuracy. At the same time, they need to use detours to perform item inquiries in order to verify which license plates containing a specific item are present in the current location. This functionality is important for operational verification in locations with mixed inventory.

However, when Product Confirmation is enabled in the Mobile Device Menu Item, detours that use Item Number as a “Send to detour” field no longer function correctly.

If Product Confirmation is disabled, the detour works as expected.

This issue is critical for companies that require product scanning for confirmation while still needing access to information about the product’s location or other product-related details during the picking process.

The Item ID confirmation field introduced by Product Confirmation should be treated as a separate mobile device step. Detours that use Item Number should continue to function regardless of whether Product Confirmation is enabled.
