I really like what the Microsoft team have done with the Gantt chart. One addition would just make it for me: adding Adjust Queue Before and Adjust Queue After to this list of right click options to reconcile operation gaps (or overlaps if we want to give high priority WITHIN a planned Queue). 

One may argue that to minimize wip  Queue before and Queue after they should both be zero. But I would propose exposing planned/scheduled Queue before (at least) to expose the enable managing/minimizing it. Even Kanbans imply a Queue! I’ve always seen the Routing Queue time as a “planned wip” that we actively manage to minimize the actual queue (and with process improvements incrementally reduce the planned wip) - the non-Kanban alternative to removing Kanbans. Mass updates of Queue times for Routings/Resources would be great as well.
