The current version of CI-J only allows use of the preference centers and marketing forms to update conset records for email and sms channels, in spite of the model itself being able to also model a custom channel. When sending messages, the custom channel type consents are enforced when sending a custom channel message. This is inconsistent. We would like the ability to use the preference center and marketing forms to collect and update records to the contact point consent table too. This is especially relevant for sms providers that are not integrated via the sms message type as partners, but who have added their sms functionality to CI-J using the custom channel type.
