I agree completely. Being able to track Conversions is nearly impossible with the current setup. We currently add wait timers after each email so we can see how many people exited after a specific email and then we can attribute those conversions where they belong. To get the conversion value, I have to export the full list of invoice details and compare to the list of email recipients. Or use an average purchase value. But some of our conversions range greatly in price. If Microsoft is able to tell that a person completed the exit trigger, they should be able to pull in the value of that action and show me how much revenue was generated by each email.

This is a great idea. I think it's worth adding here that's it's not just about a particular email in question, but being able to compare separate emails. Finding common threads in what resonates for conversion is an extremely important part of email marketing.

The email insights tab details does not say if that email (or the customer journey) generated a purchase order. Even the available Market Power BI templates show only generated / won opportunities, without showing the orders. B2C scenarios don't use opportunities, so it's important to track the conversion of an email or of a customer journey to an order by the end customer.

Could you elaborate more on what additional data points you are looking for?
The email insights tab should give you details on which in the email link was clicked etc -
