I have spent many years trying to adapt to the Web Client for Business Central after the loss of the Windows Client. In my view, the Windows Client was far superior: the use of screen real estate, responsiveness, and overall clean UI/UX were simply better than what we have in the Web Client, which often feels clunky by comparison.
To me, this feels a bit like a case of “the emperor’s new clothes.”
Almost every customer I speak to who used NAV 2013R2 through to BC14 shares the same opinion—that the Windows Client offered a much better experience.
Of course, the Web Client has its benefits, but why not give us the option of both? I understand that maintaining two clients comes with development/support overhead, but if Microsoft reintroduced the Windows Client, I truly believe Business Central would be the strongest ERP on the market.
At present, I am even holding off upgrading several customers on BC14, as they do not want to lose the Windows Client.
