It is only supported when Bank Data Conversion Service is used which we do not use. We use Data Exchange Definition for our EFT export formats and it is not supported for employees' payments.

It is a great idea.
We suggest sometimes to create Employee to pay expenses but if we need to pay by EFT like a vendor, it is not possible to add Employee in the batch to generate a EFT file to the bank.
The only way to pay is by cheque or manual payment for a employee expenses transaction.

This is also applicable to the AU version of BC. You are able to enter bank account details on the employee record, suggest employee payments and process a payment journal for the employee reimbursements however you are unable to then create an EFT transfer file to upload to the financial institution.
