Background/Issue - By design, the default segment refresh interval is 30 minutes to 24 hours depending on whether the customer journey is in live or draft state. However, in scenarios where the marketers expect emails to be sent as soon as possible - even when the CJ is live - the 30 minutes refresh interval may result in delays. Specifically, contacts added to a segment after the most recent refresh may not be included when the journey starts. As a result, these new contacts are only processed in the next refresh cycle which is 30 minutes.
Suggestion - To mitigate this issue, we propose enabling an automatic segment refresh immediately before the journey start time or the moment journey is made Live. This enhancement would ensure that the most recently added contacts are included in the journey and receive the intended e-mail communication without unnecessary delay.
