Currently, it is possible to stop Users from posting data before a specific Period from the User Setup and period Locks. However, with the increase in Data and the need for data security, there needs to be a configuration to prevent users from seeing the entire Database i.e. To Allow Users to only see Data after a particular date which can be managed through the User Setup just like the allow Posting Date.

All tables will automatically be filtered as per the Date mentioned in the User Setup which will help in improving performance for tables with large volumes of data and help in data security. Since this feature is needed across all tables, it is not possible to use Security Filters in Permission Sets as it will be extremely time-consuming and difficult to manage as operations and users scale.
