Calculate and make visible, the total quantity item weight on the sales line. Would be very useful to have this as standard feature as it would help users in building loads at time of order entry.

The net weight is set on released product record, so a simple calculation is needed:

Sales line weight = Quantity × Net weight per unit

Currently, field for sales line Unit Weight shows data source as = SalesLineForeignTradeCategory  and PurchLineForeignTradeCategory.

D365 will not allow the line weight to calculate without additional setup not needed for domestic transactions.
