Scenario: A company has several manufacturing sites, all within the same legal entity and manufactures different components for different industries at each of the sites. However, there is one specialist operation that is based at one of the sites but receives works orders from the other sites for processing. Currently, D365 SCM will allow you to bundle and start jobs from different sites but not allow you to add any further jobs to the bundle, presenting the User with the error: job bundling from different sites is not allowed. This is a design flaw that the Product Team will be closing, thus in the future you will not be allowed to bundle jobs initially and start them. Design Change: It would be preferable if multi-site job bundling was allowed, particularly where companies have made a significant investment in capability but volumes dictate that the capability be centralised on one site. This would allow works orders from different sites, with components that need to undergo the same operation, to be bundled and processed at the same time.
