There should be such a setting that a child record becomes disable when a parent record becomes disable.
Currently, there is no such a feature that status cascade between parent records and child records.

According to the following document on Microsoft community, one user suggests to create the workflow or use external tool to cascade the status between them.
It would be much better if status cascade is added as one of the feature on Dynamics 365.
