It would be great if an end user could set a filter in a list which would be kept until it was changed or cleared.

By allowing to save queries/filters, the user could create different views for different tasks.

The new Saved views feature that started its public preview in 10.0.9 / Platform update 33 allows users on list pages to save multiple named views, which each consist of personalizations and filters.

Isn't this already available in the filter pane?

This is standard functionality in Oracle Financials and can be accessed through form personalizations. When the form was saved, the system prompted whether it's just the layout (column order, column size, etc..) were to be saved or also the query. Furthermore it would prompt whether you were saving it on your personal profile or public (for all to see - if you had the proper permissions). It was very useful.

I strongly agree. Saved filter/searches were invaluable in AX and it's a massive loss to D365Ops. Saving a filtered from one to a workspace is a workaround but the filtered options are nearly always required whilst on the list form and having to jump out to a workspace is sub-optimal.
