Reference Issue 612002 - Resolved https://fix.lcs.dynamics.com/Issue/Details/1348721?kb=4645086&bugId=612002&dbType=3&qc=9539a68d94d05ac200cd2e8f6bd3e7dc0a79e9bb219f6eb31e31b2492ef865c6

Issue 612002 is described like this (Problem and Description of change)

The "Business Events for batch alerts" feature does not work in conjunction with "Batch framework contention reduction" feature.

This issue can cause batch jobs to be stuck Executing. A workaround for this issue to disable the "Batch framework contention reduction" feature.

After creating a SR on this, Microsoft Support acknowledged the issue, but the net outcome was that Issue 612002, was updated to include PU46 Dec 7th 2021 and a recommendation of creating an Idea here to get this prioritised.

Customers running with Feature Batch framework contention reduction (BFCR) enabled, risk all Batch Jobs getting stuck in Status Executing when activating Batch Business Events (verified). To make it more complex, Customers enabling Feature Priority Based Batch Scheduling (PBBS), are required to enable BFCR (dependency).

PBBS and BFCR was introduced in PU31 (January 2020), while Batch Business Events was introduced in 2021. Clearly Batch Business Events wasn't tested with BFCR enabled and the current Solution is to Disable BFCR (workaround).

Request:

Prioritise fixing BFCR to make Customers able to use Batch Business Events (standard). This includes Customers using Feature PBBS.
