There are "Main Templates" (TAB8618 and 8619 - fields can be defined) and the "old" Customer templates (TAB5105).
When you create Customer from Customer card, the system asks you and choose from these "Main templates".
When you create Customer from Contact card by using "Create as" function, the system takes only customer templates (T5105).

Could you consider this scenario: If there is no Customer template (TAB5105) use "Main Templates" (TAB8618/ 8619). Or could you suggest a general reconciliation?

I think this feature is still incomplete. "Customer templates" need to have a "No. Series" field, just like "Main templates" do.
