Where production warehouse handling is optional, if a pick has been created for a production consumption line, it should be impossible to consume stock on the journal without the pick being either deleted or registered.

Reasoning.

Currently, if warehouse handling is optional, it is possible to create a warehouse pick for materials and then consume them directly from stock prior to the pick having been registered.

This means it is possible to physically double handle the same goods. One user consumes directly whilst another proceeds to handle the pick.

The user processing the pick is then left with a pick that cannot be registered within BC. Whilst the pick can be cancelled, if a user has physically handled the pick, the goods have physically moved but BC does reflect this so no movement can be created to return the goods.

An offline process is now unavoidable to correct a mistake that should not have been possible.
