Presently within Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer service, and all model-driven apps. The Global Search feature is built on 1 quick find view for all environments

As we are moving more and more into separate model-driven apps per line of business within each environment the fact that you can only have 1 quick find view per table for the global search which covers all LoB model drive apps is a hindrance to user experience and accessibility.

As a maker we can create separate main forms, quick create form and system views, and activities per model-driven app but only 1 quick find view for all of the dataverse tables with in the environment.

Where for example you have several line of business model-driven apps,

on the account global search in User A's model-driven LoB app wants to see data specific to their LoB dataset but do not care about Users B account specific data.

Having to add all the columns to one quick find view which is shared is not a great experience as all users then see all returned data. Especially given that all other views/forms can be customised per LoB model-driven app. The experience is not consistent

I can understand the need/want to simplify the indexing and improve the results and the global search is a step to doing this over the previous searching, but I My idea is to ultimately have the ability to build and configure a quick find view per model-driven app so that the data returned in the search results and view can be filtered to suit each LoB model-driven app.

I

100% behind this idea. It's a limitation that has caused a fair number of issues on different projects and is always a tough one to explain to the clients - "Yes, you can create all kinds of views in the system... but not that"
