The Edit in Excel feature is a great feature to use for mass editing. When using on Customer or Vendor data it currently saves all Personal Identifiable Information (PII) in the Excel files in the users Download directory. This is a huge security issue in terms of PCI, HIPAA and any other security audit. Is it possible to change the behavior of this feature to have the software execute Excel, allow the users to edit, and then cleanup the files after it is done. The ideal would be to never write this information to the disk at all. If the files are actually written to disk, they need to be encrypted and password protected until they are removed from the disk.
