G/L Budgets should save the last filters applied when exiting the page exit.

In older versions of NAV the G/L Budgets would save the last filtered value you entered in the budget.

Now in BC the G/L Budgets no longer save the last filters applied to the page. When you open the page back up, it defaults to the current calendar year. Many people save prior year budgets and enter the date filter to reflect those prior years. Also, some companies are not a Calendar fiscal year. Example 04-01-2024..03-31-2025. With either scenario they would now need to enter that value every time they open a budget.

I would add to this and suggest having filtered G/L codes and Dimensions would be very valuable. Running multiple department budgets without these filters saved for users is a blocker.

100% agree.I am currently setting up new GL Budget process for my current company. While investigating best practice and method, I have had to re-insert especially the date filter a hundred times. It seems bonkers this is not already included. Especially because we have a crooked fiscal year going 0107 - 3006.Whether it's a saved filter or report setting as Don Dyck suggests doesn't change much to. You would need to be able to extend/reduce the date if needed either way. I have no preference there. Though a report setting might make it more visible to the user.

I would take it a step further and suggest that a G/L Budget should have a Start Date and an End Date field that you enter when you create the Budget and that those fields should automatically set the date filters when you open the budget.
