The order hold functionality on sales orders is a good and relevant feature.

But, it does not work for intercompany orders or direct delivery orders.

An error message is displayed: Order hold is not allowed if the sales order is part of an intercompany order chain or marked for intercompany autocreation.

It seems that there are no logical reason why a sales company cannot put an order hold on a sales order, just because it is delivered through an intercompany chain.

I propose that the order hold functionality is implemented also for orders that are part of an intercompany chain. Probably both from the originating sales company and from the delivering wholesale company side. When a sales order is put on hold from the sales company, this needs to be reflected on sales order in the wholesale company.

Thank you very much for your input. We do not have any plans to extend this capability, we will however continue to monitor how much in demand such a capability is.
