The regarding attribute on an activity should be updated to allow multiple records to be linked to an activity. Examples are;
- Appointment at which multiple opportunities are discussed
- Emails which contain information about multiple cases
Comments
I agree this is a huge gap in the Dynamics CRM functionality. Our users need a seamless way to attribute activities to multiple companies.

Hi Mark, I can't speak to the multiple opportunities at an Appointment (I tend to build "Tag" entities to hand such things). But for email regarding multiple cases, can you convert the case to a "master" case then create sub-cases under it for all of the things within the email? Or is the issue that the email contains information about cases that already exist?

Not really as the cases aren't really related in any way except they were logged by the same customer.

This requirement seems like a big gap in the Dynamics CRM functionality. Many people have meetings or other activities with more than one party.

This would be very useful feature. Often we have participants in the meetings representing different companies and appointment can be shown under only one account.
