Several customers dislike the info codes because of the pop-ups which the cashier has to close every time. What about adding a box to the screen layout, where the info is just shown when an item is scanned? A parameter, if no input is required, on the info code can define if this info code should pop up or just show in this new box, which could be added to the screen layout.

Agree with the general idea here... Ultimately, something as simple as customer attribution (radio/hotel/ad/etc) or more complicated info/reason codes are poorly implemented in 365 commerce.

Cash and Carry sales order attributes exist, and can be pushed to the POS screen without customization... but, those fields are string entry only. Either need that to be dropdown/list enabled, or need the info codes to be able to be displayed in a similar window. Right now, without customization, info codes cannot be searched, viewed/changed after selection, or displayed on the POS screen.

The info code pop-ups adds to the transaction time and is not helpful in a fast moving retail environment.
Other POS solutions use a frame within the permanent screen layout to display such information or appears as a sub-menu within the main screen.
