Hi,

Our customer types their customers Purchase Order Number in the Sales Invoice in the External Document No. field. It is a demand from many customers to have this information in the documents.

When I search for External Document No. in the dataset of report 1306 in the Word layout, then I don't find it.

Suggestion:
- Would it make sense to expose all fields to Sales (and maybe Purchase) document report datasets?

Then users have access to all fields in their documents layout and then it is not necesary to create extentions to report 1306, or create new versions of report 1306. It should be possible to modify the standard layout only.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future. Sincerely, Business Central Team

Yes, please make this standard, I'm so tired of telling customers that fields aren't in the dataset and they need development just to use standard BC fields in a report.

Hi
This is a great point. Not only the External Document No., but it would be great if ALL fields are available in both Sales & Purchase document layouts so this does not have to be a customization to clone a whole report to have a single field added.

Hi Morten,
It is a little hidden, bit External Document No is under the label "leftheadervalue" in the word xml pane.
