We would like all outgoing email messages to have a Display Name of the User, but the Reply-To and From address should be generic (i.e. sales@mycompany.com )

We will then use workflows to assign the incoming email records to the correct sales rep based on the associated regarding object.

The advantage of this approach is that the customers see a familiar name in their inbox (the Display Name), but they don't get unique email addresses for our sales reps, which cause problems when we have staff turnover.

I have a customer who needs to define a 'Reply To' email address against a user or Queue so that emails arrive in a recipient's inbox showing the 'from' user/queue mail address but when they hit 'Reply', the response should go to the 'Reply To' email address defined on the CRM user.

This feature is available in Siebel mid-market 2000 (a 12+ year old system) but not in CRM.

Great! That would be great!~ It would still be nice to be able to set the from address as well to a generic email address, otherwise there is still the possibility that customer see the from address and emial that in the future rather then using the reply-to... Oh well, I'm sure there's ways we could solve that...
