Dear Community,

If you send a customer voice survey to the contacts, they can answer the survey and the survey is pinned to the timeline as an activity. Unfortunately, the Customer Voice variables are currently not working. Please also add this functionality to outbound marketing so that first name and last name and other fields can be displayed as variables.

I was waiting for RTM to change the way variables are used in Dynamics Marketing but it is still a real hassle to have a nice way to add variables in customer surveys.


I have a few clients who want to provide high quality personalized surveys and are really looking for an improvement in this area. Being able to map the Customer Voice variables with Dataverse fields from contact would be a major improvement for us.

The OOB variables in Customer Voice Surveys (First Name, Last Name, locale, companyname) are extremely challenging to map to surveys being sent through RTM Journeys/Emails. They require the use of multiple journeys and custom triggers leveraging complex Power Automate Flows. Additionally, If you need to leverage custom variables from Dataverse in Customer Voice Surveys being sent through RTM Journeys/Emails you are required to use multiple journeys and custom triggers leveraging complex Power Automate Flows.
