When setting up a work center a client may define a global dimension of the work center. This ideally can be used to analyze cost by dimensions later. When the Production Order changes from Released to Finished the Variance recorded from that operation is recorded with the last work center dimension, not the work center which created the variance.

We believe that the variance recorded should reflect the related work center dimensions, not the dimensions of the last operation.

For example,

First Operation Work Center Dimension = MIXING

Last Operation Dimension = PACKAGING

When posting operation 1 on a released production order, Dimension "MIXING" is posted to the Value Entries table. (GOOD)

When posting OUTPUT of the finished good, DImension "PACKAGING" is recorded (GOOD)

Production Order Status Changed from Released > Finished

Variance on operation 1 is captured @ 5.00 dollars by default, the system posts this variance with dimension "PACKAGING" (BAD)

The variance should reflect the appropriate operation dimension "MIXING".

We'd like the system's "Automatic Cost Adjustment" to include logic to analyze if a work center has a global dimension and update the variance lines with the correct dimension.
