One of the great features of SAP B1 is that one can export out Transfers, WorkOrders, PurchaseOrders, etc. to excel and send them out to the 3rd party factory etc. (only Enterprise size organizations are EDI with suppliers …...the reality of SME is spreadsheets back and forth with suppliers, factories, etc.)
Then on a daily, weekly, intermittent basis, the factory sends through a partial completion of a workorder or a purchase order - documented in an excel spreadsheet (typically in the 'completed' column of the original WorkOrder or PurchaseOrder sent out to the 3rd party supplier in excel). In SAP B1, it is possible to bring up the WorkOrder and add completed items by cutting and pasting the item code from excel into the item code column and the 'number completed' into the quantity column - then the SAP B1 system fills in the remaining cells (i.e. Price, warehouse, weight, colour, etc. etc.)
Its an essential feature for efficient working with 3rd parties (factories and suppliers) for SME businesses.
When can a feature like this be made available for Dynamics 365 ?
At the moment we have a great Business 365 set up (sharepoint sites, exchange, office, etc) but we have to use a non-integrated system because without the above feature of SAP B1 it would be just too slow and manual to use Dynamics 365. We really hope you can add this feature so that its possible to change over from SAP B1 and have our entire business system fully integrated in the Microsoft Business premium suite.
