For CI/CD, testing, prerelease evaluation and a lot of other scenarios, it would be great to have an API to pull runtime packages from AppSource that match the version (artifact) of a Docker container.

This feature is really needed.

As an ISV that supports customizations, we encounter application dependency problems all the time, which prevent us from publishing. The only solution for now is to use an instance of the client sandbox, which creates a whole set of other challenges for us.

How would this work for Insider versions such as Next Minor or Next Major? Will the downloaded current runtime version of the 3rd party runtime app allow you to build your apps on insider builds, not just current?

This is a MUST HAVE as many ISV have started to not hand out their apps even though we have a partnership with them - and the customers cannot understand why we cannot just extend the functionality of an app source app that we dont have access to (local docker development, build pipelines etc.)
