For a field service technician who is on the road and repairs Equipment, there is currently no way to assign him a Team member license. He needs a full licenses at 100$/month. This user's role is to only visualize the work order on which he needs to work, and to enter his time. This lack of feature puts Dynamics Field Service as too expensive for most small scale implementations

Thanks for submitting the idea. At the moment, we’re not planning to extend Field Service functionality to the Team member license. Although, we’d love to hear more on the challenges (pricing and/or others) that you face in your customer segment.
