The Opportunity card is missing a lot of useful fields like (not limited to):

• The description is too short only 50 characters, I suggest to add another description field and call it [Opportunity Summary].

• Before activating any stages I like to suggest adding many fields:

1- First Date contacted ( when the contact contacted us)
2- When we should contact ( when our Marketing team should contact the customer?)
3- Adding the same features in Sales order [Sell to and Bill to], from the beginning once I create the Opportunity as we should know to whom we are selling and to whom we will bill.

Adding those fields is not difficult using Ext. but we like to have then from Microsoft directly.
