It would be great if there was an end to end solution for recurring file based imports into D365 F&SCM, including mapping and transformation for integration with external systems. It would enable us to make projects much more efficient and reduce Total Cost of Ownership, as nearly all require integrations but it's not possible to have a regular import without it either being manual or requiring customisation. Without this requirement, customers/clients could potentially be empowered to configure it all themselves.

Not wanting to necessarily solutionise, however Azure Data Factory (ADF) would seem like a good solution for the mapping and transformation part, if there is the ability to then call the Data Management Framework (DMF) API in the background in standard code. Currently the D365 F&SCM connector in ADF only supports exports, not imports and the only way to have a recurring import is through development using APIs.
